Feedback has been flooding in from members – especially Store Managers – about NAB’s decision to make changes to the relief model in the retail network. Despite FSU evidence that relief coverage has improved dramatically since NAB introduced a centralised model for allocating relief in 2009, NAB have decided to return to an arrangement whereby relief is distributed throughout each LAM by agreement between Store Managers.

In response to these concerns NAB have made the following commitments:

NAB have also agreed to provide FSU with the current number of relief staff and to meet with us on a quarterly  basis so FSU can ensure that numbers are not being reduced and the 7:1 ratio that they committed to in 2009 will be maintained.

Consultation on the new model is still open until 20 September. You can send your feedback to nabstafffeedback@fsunion.org.au. FSU will meet with NAB again at the conclusion of consultation to continue to address your concerns.
